These are the dates of the Parish Council meetings for 2026.
The decisions taken by the Parish Council affect your enjoyment and experience of living in the Parish. Councillors live or work in the Parish and seek to serve the local community. The Parish Council welcomes the public to its meetings which are held on the 1st Wednesday as below. Planning meetings will only convene if there is a planning application or matters that the council feels of importance to meet.
All meetings will be held at: The Community Rooms, Sycamore Close, B6165, Burnt Yates, HG3 3GY.

* Planning Meetings are considered as “Extraordinary Meetings” and will only be called in the event of urgent planning matters or other items that the council deem of an "urgent nature". | |
** APM = Annual Parish Meeting – This meeting is held between 1st March and 1st June (Local Government Act 1972 sch.12 para.14). This is an opportunity for the Council to talk about what it has been working on and to hear questions or concerns from local residents. Decisions cannot be made at this meeting as it is not a Council meeting. | |
*** AMC = Annual Meeting of the Council – This is held in May except in an election year when it must take place on or within 14 days of the day on which the elected Councillors take office (Local Government Act 1972 sch.12 para 7). The first order of business at this meeting is to elect a chairman. | |
****Finance Meeting will take place on the 10th of December @ 7.30pm to discuss and consider Budget and Finance Matters. | |
